Our Client
With solar panels reaching new heights in renewable energy, our client had a large order with over 70 containers to ship out within a certain time for a project located. The snag was that, due to the order taking place during peak season space there was limited space on the shipping vessels. Adding to this, the factory could only accommodate a restricted number of containers at any one time so once the cargo was ready, the containers had to leave the premises.
What We Did
- Worked with several shipping lines to pre-book space ahead of the curve
- Tightly coordinated the container delivery & pickup and made special yard arrangements to store the containers ahead of the sailing dates
- Arranged multi-modal transport of the cargo to the destination to meet the timelines
- Synched up with the client to ensure the shipping, FTA & bank documents were all in order.
Results
With precise timing and execution and immense cooperation from the client, the cargo was shipped out on time and mostly on budget to avoid the non-performance penalties. From haulage to customs clearance and confirmed loading on the shipping lines, the team coordinated with multiple parties across different time zones with the aim to ensure the cargo was moved out like clockwork.
With this mammoth task achieved, the client was happy to recommend our services to their other customers knowing that the shipments would be in good hands.
